Latvia is now fully integrated into the EU. But the issues of poverty and injustice will simply not disappear because of this political move. In fact, poverty will no doubt get much worse as prices and the cost of living inevitably rises. Already we are seeing more and more families struggle with the rising cost of living.

Latvia is becoming the forgotten country regarding poverty. With high profile TV programmes showing the capital Riga as being a tourist haven and becoming known as the 'stag' capital of Europe, poverty issues are being ignored and played down.

There are many poor families and abandoned children who desperately need help. We feel called of God to serve the poor in this country. We are committed to the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of neglected children and destitute families in Latvia.
